used ta be.

Used to be,,,,,

a handshake was all you needed.

Used to be,,,,

A man was worth his word or he was worthless.

Went to get the camper today.

Suddenly, the price was not what was agreed upon, AND there was more damage to the interior.

I won't give the guy grief on the interior as it wasn't all that to begin with and with where the thing sits; kids could have gotten into it and 'played house' or 'doctor'. Who knows.

But the price. THAT I hold him on.

He didn't hold.

Back to the drawing board and search maps.

I am actually looking for something down and out as I want the Appliances more than the actual trailer. Its for that whole going off grid thing with the "highly modified pole barn" I am building. I am far enough from all major cities (the ones I worry about I should say.) and up in the hills of Appalachia where people still know how to get along with little to nothing, and shooting off your back porch may get the neighbors up, but not to call the cops but to see where the party is.

This jackknob/asshat promised the shell and appliances for $250 then turned around and wanted 1K for it when I showed up. I think not. There will be a post about it soon.

Spud, there are many things that I wish could go back to 'better times'. Money, honesty, work ethics, etc etc Education would be one too. Where the teachers did it for the honor of knowing they were improving on a life, not just a paycheck and a fat retirement.

I hear you.

I had a tractor deal go south because 6 weeks after he was suppose to deliver it, I ask when it would be ready. He said I was being rude, and he was canceling the deal. After he swore up and down that he would keep his word, so I went out and spent money on a snow plow rig specific for this tractor.

Toaster: people you can trust. It's the monkeys that get you. This guy was most definetly one of the monkey hoard. Got the impression he is also a pillhead.
